Section 6.10 of the rule book states: "All competitors (vehicle with driver
or driver's representative) will be impounded with their class after
competing until released by the Chief of Impound or an official designee."
It is usually an impound worker and not the chief of Impound who releases
the competitors. That is always the case when the Chief of Impound is
running in that group.

it's time to leave impound. At every Divisional, Tour and the three Nat's
I've been to, it was the Chief of Impound to release us. Read the rules and
follow them. What was different about Atwater?
