Being a Triumph guy, I tend to avoid memorizing details of lesser cars ;-)
I can't remember if the dimmer switch has individual connectors for the
wires or a plastic plug. If it is individual wires you can switch them
around
to see what happens. If the high beams come on with the switch in one
position, then you swap wires and the low beams come on, then you know
the low beam circuit is okay and the likely culprit is the switch.
Tracking down electrical stuff can be frustrating. Bad grounds are one
of the primary causes of wiring problems of the cars I've worked on,
and they aren't always obvious.

On another note, over the last few weks I've been pretty bad at
