Hi all.=20
Actually, When I drove my midget around town & was asked why I had 3 =
wipers, I told them that it was because I was "Special" .....They didn't =
buy it either! Please help me with a nagging problem. I need to replace =
some wheel studs on the rear of my Spitfire. I am unable to get the rear =
hubs off. Can someone loan, rent or sell me the tool required to remove =
the hub or provide some instruction to get this accomplished?=20
I would like to give to a deserving home...for that matter any home, a =
well used but complete 3 rail, all syncrho 4 speed Spitfire tranny. It =
has some noise but is complete. Come & get it. I also would like to part =
with a BugEye diff. for the same amount of zero dollars
If any of you have not seen the MGB concept car that Ron C. drew, please =
check it out. What a stupendous design! A real work of automotive =
genius! Thanks Ron.

The answer to your question lies in Paul's response. The third wiper =
was standard on all North American market cars beginning with the 1969 =
model year for the MGB. It was to comply with US Federal regs. regarding =
the percentage of glass on the windshield that had to be cleared by the =
wipers.
Yeah, I know....it is stupid and the Brits seemed to get along fine =
without it throughout the remainder of MGB production. A fine example of =
government bureaucracy trying to save us from ourselves.

lets go to a smaller steering wheel and add electric power steering, but =

technology just doesn't move fast enough but it's still fun to dream.

Had they designed the car with a proper laid back windshield it =
could have had two longer wipers and it would have looked much better =
too. Attached is a concept I designed back in the 70s to make the B a =

just a "show up and park your car" kind of day. =20
We have been directed to enter at the South West gate and park on =
the grass near there. For those of you who have gone to this event =
before, it is the same as in past years. For those of you for whom this =
is a new event, you really can't go wrong, there are plenty of =
volunteers around to direct you. =20
We seem to be finally getting to some better weather! =
Temperatures are supposed to be in the mid 70's and partly cloudy, but =
no rain in the forecast. Should be a great day to be out with our =
LBC's. Let's make it a great turnout.
