Currently deep into my Triumph Herald restoration and was explaining =
=E2=80=9CLucas Prince of Darkness=E2=80=9D to him =E2=80=93 when he =
interjects ...=E2=80=9Dwell if you understand Lucas.... there is this =
Triumph for $400 just around the corner.... =E2=80=9C He had no idea on =
model etc so we just  had to go and check ...
Turns out to be an early Austin Healey Sprite (1962?) - fitted with an  =
MGB engine (18S-G-U-H-365) with HS4 carbs =E2=80=93 the chassis stamp =
under the carbs... was 56857DRF =E2=80=93 of course when I got home I =
realized that is not the vin ... metal work appears pretty good =
=E2=80=93 awful paint job and bizarre range of instruments on flaking =
wood plywood dash... in all a complete strip down. Haven=E2=80=99t =
mentioned it to the wife yet =E2=80=93 is this worth a punt ?=20
