If your not too concerned about doing an "authentic" rebuild, you can forget the original air pump smog control system and swap in a new hi-flow catalytic converter. They will do a much better job of reducing emissions than the air pump and have a neglegible effect on exhaust flow unlike earlier converter designs. Only thing to be careful about is their location to avoid heat damage to the fiberglass. George Schiro |
