| Now that all of the Excitement is over.............
I just to thank everyone that responed and say that I am sorry for starting all
of the trouble.
I do want to clear my name here though...
I have included the original post and I hope that you will all see that it was
not blatently ignorant. Yes, I am young (24) and a novice mechanic who learns
by experience but I am not stupid. I have done alot of work on my Bricklin and
on my moderately modified Mustang 5.0.
Please Note: I did ask questions when it came to something that involved some
danger....

Subject: Ball Joints / Tie Rods
Can someone help me with replacing ball joint and tie rods.
I need to know what i have to do to get the tie rods off of the car. After
removing the cotter pin and the nut they still seem to be very very tight and I
can't get them off. Do I need a special tool to remove them.
Secondly, I need to replace my ball joints but I am not sure how to remove them
with the spring tensioned. Is there a way of releasing the tension on the
spring without using a spring compressor or not?
                                                Thanks, Jamie
