Has anyone ever had their speedometer gears inside the transmission break?
My speedometer stopped working, but if I unhook the cable from the
transmission and spin it manually, the speedometer spins correctly.
Therefore it seems like something wrong with the mechanism inside the
transmission. When I put the end of the cable in again, it does not seem to
be a snug fit, is this normal? I haven't taken the gear assembly out yet and
I could not find a number in the Bricklin Parts Catalog for it on the 1974.
Does anyone know a part number for the gear assembly that the speedometer
cable plugs in to? Thanks.
