Stephan,
  The only terminal on the regulator that is NOT used is the I terminal.
The F(ield) terminal - blue wire - goes to the field on the alt.  The
S(tator?) on the regulator - Black wire - goes to the ignition module,
the A(matuer?) terminal - Red wire - goes to the ammeter.
