| Thanks to all the offered words of advice. I just finished pulling the
pan and oil pump. I found the problem. When I pulled the original seal,
I nicked the crank in a couple of places. So now I've got to find some way
of cleaning it up.
I found a site www.motor.com that has a nice listing of manufactures of
various
items. One of the items is crankshaft sleeves. I'll have to wait until Mon.
to be able to call them. If I can't find anything else, I might just try some
JB Weld and then sand the crank down smooth. I figure that that can't hurt.
Then next time this happens, I guess the eng. comes out and I rebuild it,
and have the crank machined.
