It follows the general convention that clockwise is up, i.e. colder (like
volume knobs on a stereo). The knob will go > 3/4 of a rotation from stop to
stop. I've always heard to not use the extreme clockwise settings or it will
freeze up. Interestingly, on #220 there is actually a little overlay on the
dash with the settings embossed on it. (Not sure if that was original, or
why it's not on all B's)
