There are definitely replacements, "adjustable proportioning valves" which
might arguably be better. For originality, the rules say in section "4.3.4, 6.
c. Master Cylinder Assembly and Power Brake Booster Assembly -- Master
cylinder assembly must be of original type and finish and mounted in the proper
locations. Power brake booster assembly and mounting bracket must of original
style, painted black and mounted in the original location." It is minus one
point
each for master cyl, and brake booster not as above.
They seem kind of scarce, as they were apparantly a "dealer only" item.
Someone on the AMC vendor list should have them, but it might take a few phone
calls. Bob or Terry might have them also. Are they rebuildable?
