| Thanks to John's advice, VIN 1628 has made a full recovery. I managed to extract the broken treads of the fuel filter from the carb with a #3 (5/16-7/16) Screw Extractor that I carefully turned by hand with a wrench. First attempted removal with a Craftsman Screw-Out but it wouldn't grip the metal. Prior to removal a heavy spray of WD 40 was applied. The project was completed with a vacuming of the site to remove medal bits. Steve Grant |
