George,

Since I don't have a 74 can't help you with the window coming out of the
channel. It's a common problem for the 75s but the window channel is
done a lot different in the 74s. I've talked with John and Terry about
this in the past, but all I got was that they hate doing the windows on
the 74s.

As to the windows rolling down all the way, they don't. The front upper
corner of the window will be about 1" above the door frame.

There's an article in this (the July) issue of The Brickline that addresses
the windows and the window channels. I don't know if your windows have
been modified or not. If they are modified, you'll have a metal "U" that
the window sits in, and that U channel is spot welded to the original
horizontal rail that goes on the rollers. If the widow mechanism is
original, the window was simply glued to the metal horizontal bar. That
didn't work very well.

Also look at the regulator very carefully as you roll the window up and
down. The arms on the regulator will bend. This might also cause the
window to be pulled out of the channel.

Terry is now using Norton SpeedGrip Urethane adhesive 15 min setup.
Their web site is www.nortonautomotive.com/. You might be able to find
a vendor on there, or give them a call.

I purchased some of the adheasive - comes with 2 tubes that mix in the
nozzel of the gun. A 7.3 fl oz. set of tubes will do 1 door and costs about
$25. The gun cost about $50.
