| pumping the acc peddle only pumps gas from the carb to the intake, if there is any. It does nothing to bring gas from the tank. I perfer to crand an engine for 15-20 sec before it starts to give some oil a chance to start. I cringe when I hear people start an engine and bring it to 3,000-5,000 RPM. 30-45 sec of cranking will not hurt a starter. Much after that it begins to overheat and may start spitting solder from it's connections. 127GEORGE!! |
