Another possibility is your EGR valve is acting up.  You might want to try
and clean the seat for the valve.  Or you can try disconnecting the vac.
line to the EGR and plug the vac. line.  Then see what happens.
You can also test to see if the symptoms are similar by pulling a vac. on
the vac. line going to the EGR.
So now, it 1 vote for PCV valve, 1 for plugs & wires, and 1 for EGR.
