I also used the performer from Edelbrock. I used normal engine paint on
the top side to match the engine as I like to keep the stock
appearance... It holds up just fine. No prep was used.. On the A.M.C s
they used a sheetmetal pan underneath the intake as part of the gasket
set.. If this is not used you MUST put a baffle under the P.C.V. hole
to keep oil from getting sucked up into the engine..
