Sorry about the wide distribution, but I seem to have deleted the
mail piece from the hardy Land Rover"pilot" who wants information
on upgrading his, dare I say engine, to a V8.

I say pilot, for the act of accompanying a Land Rover from one place
to another is a far more noble pursuit than any recognised form of
locomotion that could be in any way be described as "driving".

I too have a Land Rover, known affectionately as "James", as in
"Home James, and don't spare the horses". "James is a 109 inch,
long wheelbase, Safari Land Rover, with the famous, "stump-pulling"
4 cylinder diesel, you really have to own one to understand.

Anyway the place you seek is D.A.P. Enterprises
                             7 Kendrick Road
                             Wareham Industrial Park
                             Wareham, MA 02571

                             Tel. (508)291-1311
                             Fax. (508)295-8022

DAP produce a catalogue which has everything any Land Rover pilot will
ever need, yes they do have a V8 conversion kit, but they also have a
Janspeed Turbo, yes a Turbo Diesel Landrover, just think, with a favourable
wind and a slight incline you may be able to keep up with modern traffic, or
even exceed 55, naa.... Seriously they sell Turbos and overdrive units which
together cost less than, and certainly are less hassle to install than a
V8 conversion.

I am currently in the process of rebuilding James with the Janspeed turbo
and a Fairey Engineering overdrive unit, so give me a call at
(508)256-0176 X7832 or HP Telnet 256-7832 for more info.

                      The JeeP is just famous
                       The Land Rover is LEGENDARY!!!
