I di this earlier this year on my TR6 with the tank in the car. the problem
is that the sending unit can't be removed this way, so the normal gasket
can't be used. I just cleanedof all the old gasket material real good and
used blue rtv gasket maker. It worked fine. I used to smell gas all the
time when my car was in the garage. The seepy gasket was the cause.
