There was no overdive for the MGA. One solution to the 4500
'it's going to explode' problem is to replace the MGA
4.3:1 rear end with a 3.9:1 rear end from an MGB. The
third member or chunck from the "banjo type" MGB rear end
will fit exactly in an MGA rearend. That will reduce
the revs to 4000. The MGA has a frame while the MGB
is unibody. So it is very dificult to fit an MGB overdrive
in an MGA.
