John Thornley, one of the original founders of the M.G. Car Club (1930) and
general Manager of the MG Car Company from 1952 to 1969, passed away on July
15th 1994.

A Memorial Service is planned to take place at St. Helen's Church, Abingdon
on Friday October 14th. It is sure to be attended by large numbers of MG
enthusiast from all over the world as we all own John Thornley a great debt.

John's family have requested that no flowers be sent, but rather donations be
made to either the Canine Defence League of the Salvation Army. Donations
can be passed through the M.G. Car Club. Perhaps a topic for your next club
meeting. Especially if your club is a centre of the M.G. Car Club.
