You might try going to an outdoor supply store that sells 
camping and backpacking equipment.  They should have seam 
sealer for tents that could work if the seam is not torn.  
It comes (usually) as a stick in a tube that you rub on.  
Erect the top to stretch the seam, apply sealer and let dry.
