Folks, just (finally) acquired a '69 SRL311 - mechanically just fine, but
the paint and interior are gone. Will you indulge a newbie with a few
questions?

(1) the paint on the deck lid is very thick - it looks as though it had
bondo under the color coat, but the lid underneath looks undamaged. Is that
typical?

(2) what sources (if any) are there for body dismantling/reassembly? Or do I
just grab a wrench and take good notes as I go?

(3) does anyone know where I can find a dash cover - the current dash is
badly cracked - or for that matter, a complete interior kit? The option is
to go to my local interior shop. Saw one source on the net, but no $$
quoted.

(4) if I ever do decide to get some professional help with the body, what is
it likely to cost (big subject) given a no-rust, fairly straight original?
My objective is a clean driver, not a trailer queen or an authentic show
car. I've never approached a professional restorer before, and haven't a
clue. My other cars have had good bodies and lousy engines - something I
understand a little better.

Appreciate any guidance you other roadster owners might have. This is too
great a car to not put together and enjoy.
