They were originaly attached with sheet metal rectangles which had a screw
welded in
the middle and a nut, lockwasher, and flat washer on the inside. I replaced
some
that had rusted away with strips of stainless and brass screws silver soldered
together, solved the rust problem. hth Bill in N.M.
