bull horns..

Hello All,

        Last night I was in my most favorite position. Flat on my back with 
my head stuck up under the dash.. I was trying to get my 'bull horn' defroster
hose thingy to mate with the defroster ducts...But it would'nt go?? Were there
ever clamps or something to hold the hose onto the ductwork??  My hose seems
to short?? Is this just cause its old and lost its ability to stretch?? Do I 
need to get a new one???
