Arrrgh,..spring shackles??

Hello All,
        Well according to Van I may have my 'spring shackles' installed 
upsidedown...which is giving me the jacked up rear end.
        Now hwat and where exactly are the 'spring shackles'??  Are they 
the squared off U mounting bit that connects the leafsprings to the
rear of the car spring mounts??  Does anybody have a picture of the correct
way these should look??  I could not find a picture in my manual...
