Hello All,
I am trying to fit my gm one wire alt. to my new to me engine.
Its a 68 non-smog with right side alt mount. My question is, The lower
mounting point for the alt bracket is a stud. It is not long enough for my
new alt. How do I remove it and replace it with a ~ one inch longer one??
Studs are just pieces of metal with threads on both ends and a bit of smooth
part in the middle?? Don't they just scerw into the block?? Could I just grab
the smooth part with vice grips and turn to remove it???
Thanks,
Daniel 69 2000
