Wiring question, washer puzzle, and vent spider (lengthy)

Good morning, all.

I spent yesterday afternoon seated on my driver's side floor with the dash
beside me on the passenger floor and wiring schematic in my lap. Most of my
tags have fallen off my connectors, so I'm having to reorient myself with
the available wires before beginning the task of reattaching the dash.
While I fingered my way through the harness, I came across a couple of
puzzlers that none of my manuals can answer.

1. There are 3 thick-gauge white-with-red-stripe wires with C-shaped
connectors that I have no idea where they go. Two are on the right side of
the dash where the harness is nearing the glove box/fuse panel. One is
nearer the steering column. I pored over the schematic and couldn't find
where they go.

2. On my back on the car floor looking under the driver's side, I see to my
right, mounted on the left wall, three regulators (I'm guessing), two are
about 3-inch tall cylinders and one is a half-dollar-sized device mounted
directly above the other two. From a hole in the sidewall there is a black
wire. It seems to be coming from a button mounted on the door jamb (not
unlike the button switch for a dome light). What is this black wire? Is
this for a door buzzer? I don't see it on my Clymer schematic but my
Chilton's schematic shows it being part of the ignition circuit.

3. I removed the screen and frame from the hood directly in front of the
windshield (primarily to vacuum out infiltrating Live Oak leaves). My
windshield washer line is now brittle and I want to replace it. What I
don't know is how is the washer fluid squirted onto the windshield? I don't
have any jets; just two holes, one on either side of the screen opening.
What were the original jets like and is there an aftermarket replacement?
Aside: While removing the brittle lines, I snapped off one arm of the
T-connector. This looks like a pretty generic connector. Can I get this at
any parts store, you think?

4. With the dash off I noticed I have a bunch of greasy lint all over the
wiper motor and wires. This may be why my wipers worked intermittently. I
see that the lint is caused by my right side heater vent arm being ripped
and useless. So that the blower was blowing the air directly onto the
underside dash components. Do any of the list vendors have these foam vent
spiders? It looks like it would be a bear to replicate.

Thanks in advance,
