The speedo will be over reading by 5% (3.7 vs. 3.9). At 60 mph, this
is a 3 mph error. No biggy.
Once you get the tires on, and have clocked yourself over a 1 mile
stretch... and compare it to the stock speedo we can recommend
>Can I keep the stock 1600 speedo cable or will I have to get a 5-speed
1600 cable will work fine, as it is longer than a 2000 item.

Water Temp wire.
You'll need a pressure sender for the oil pressure (stock '66-67.5)
item from a 1600/2000.

If you are running the SOLEX carbs and air cleaner, you may need
to stretch the metal on the inner fender wheel well to clear the
Solex Air Cleaner.
You'll need to reuse the rear transmission mount from the donor
2000; as the driveshaft. Stan Chernoff has the cast aluminum
shift plate to fit the 5 speed into the low windshield car.
Just have it done before Shasta! ;-)
