I have used the great stuff foam can insulation to stiffen my top bow. I poured rust goop in the bow and swished it around, letting it dry thoroughly. I then plugged the screw holes in the plates and then squirted in the expanding foam, not too much as it really expands. Somewhere in the process, I rivited a plate over the small crease in the bow, then fiberglassed over it, and painted. Bow is very light and strong. Use a hammer and punch to unstick the screw plates.
