Speaking of sealant. When I had my radiator recored many moons ago the guy
(my roomies brother) showed me a stack of cores and in almost each and every
core bottom were globs of silicone sealer. He didn't have to say more. I
never use silicone as a sealant. I use Formagasket Part No. 1B or something
like that and use it sparingly.
