I thought almost all shocks were double acting,
with differant percentage of stiffness for compression and
rebound.  Only singe acting shocks I have delt with were
on heavy trucks, a 1963 Ford Garbage Truck to be exact.
I was amazed at the time to see the new shocks for that
beast were single acting, rebound only I think.
Am I missing something?
