O.K. I spoke with the owner again. Apparently he says that the VIN numbers make
it a 1968 ... not a 67.5, even though it was manufactured in late 1967. That
would make more sense about the windshield, etc.
(see http://www.datsunroadster.com/INFO_PAGES/what_year.htm )

This is NOT an 67.5.

He also wrote me:
"Wanted to reiterate that the car is a late model year 1967, not an early
1967. This is causing some confusion in the ad and I am trying to change it to
1968 to avoid any further confusion amongst the serious collector population I
seem to have riled. FYI, there were only 1,000 early 1967 (Solex carburetors)
built and approx 12,000 late 1967 through 1969 (SU carburetors) built."

So! What is everyone's opinion of the value of the car now? (And should I still
dirve 4 hours to see it?)

A recap:
This is what the owner has said so far: (quoting)
 - he has owned the car for ~ 10 years.
 - it was restored ~ 15 years ago.
 - red w/ black interior
 - just under 70,000 miles
