It's interesting to hear the driving impressions of a group of people
who share a similar (roadster) experience. I'll hear someone say their
explorer "handles great", and I wonder what his criteria are, or what his
frame of reference is. When I bought my roadster in 87, my daily driver
was a Tercel wagon, so the 1600 felt like a flat-handling rocket. I
later put a heavier front sway-bar on and body-roll and understeer were
decreased more. I imagine Mike Carion's or Vic Laury's 2000 would make
my 1600 feel squishy, though we all have a roughly similar driving
experience I imagine. I feel like I can trust the driver's impressions
of list members more than the "general public" because of the common
ground of our roadsters.
