The switch was on 
but the lights were off,
they guy with the MG
was pushing his albatross.
Why had he tarried so long that day 
and traded in his Chevrolet.
He could have had a Datsun
for a little less cash.
But his British heritage made
him act rash.
So now to all he meets he must
tell his fate, 
and try to warn others before it is too late.
