| When I rebuilt my engine last year I put in a 165 degree thermostat based on
my friends advice to keep the engine cool. I live in Seattle where the temp
varies from 40-80. I read that 180 is the proper temp thermostat for this
region. I also notice that my engine runs pretty cool when it is cold
outside. I have the heater turned off.
What are the effects of running with a colder thermostat? Does 15 degrees
really matter?
Thanks,
Steve
