Howdy!

There is a great deal of discussion about needle selection for SU's.
But, a lot of it appears to be guess work.  How does one know which of
the twelve needle stations is being seen by the analyzer?  Other than
idle and WOT, it could be anywhere.

What about monitoring the vacuum on the carb piston to determine the
exact needle station?  That, in conjunction with an analyzer, should
determine the precise needle needed.  With over 350 to choose from, "cut
and try" tends to get rather expensive.

Has anyone ever tried this approach?  If so, what were the results?
