I have recently purchased a '69 SRL, This is the third '69 2 liter roadster
that I have owned. I rebuilt, not restored, two SRLs back in the eighties and
early nineties. I've been out of the Roadster loop for about 7 years while I
restored a Sunbeam Tiger. I still have the Tiger but I always enjoyed my 2000s
so I'm back.
I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions on line while I reacquaint myself
with these types of cars.
First off, does anyone produce patch panels for the typical roadster rust
areas, lower front fender and rear fender arch?
Second, how available are engine parts such as bearings, rings, pistons and
gaskets now?
Do any technical publications exist that deal directly with the SPL and SRL
other than the reprint of the factory manual? If so, are they accurate?
Any vendors to watch out for? Any vendors recommended?
