Yes.
It may have been a stupid thief. Not all of them are smart. Maybe he was
trying to cut a hole in the glass to unlock the door. I know you're
laughing, but a roadster owner a few years ago at the Solvang show told me
of an incident that left me shaking my head in bewilderment.
He heard a commotion in his driveway, came out and surprised a thief trying
to break into his roadster. The guy was using a prybar between the door edge
and the door jamb, and was trying to force the door open. Yep, the owner has
a ragtop, and the idiot thief could have simply unsnapped it. Also would
have been easier to repair or replace a torn ragtop than the body damage the
nutty thief caused to that roadster.
