Wheels for roadster

It looks like I found an early set of true 2 piece empi 8 spokes for the
project.  They came off of a Corvair.  I think they are 15 inchers.  Has
anybody used wheels from a corvair ?  How is the backspacing and so on?  Is
the center hole the same diameter?
