You can make a plaster mold, or for a more furable stone mold use dental 
stone (you can get it mail order from Davis Dentral in North Hollywood, CA
(800) 842-4203.  and use some burlap to reinforce it and you have a mold 
for the ages.  A stone mold calls for a release agent and that varies, 
depending on what end material you use.  Davis Dental is also a movie 
special FX supply house, so they have lots of plastics rubber products, 
molding agents, etc.  You can also get silicone RTV molding agents from 
Eastwood now.
