you may recall I wasn't gettting blinkers and had a couple other "odd"
problems.....

the root of the evil was switched wires at the ignition switch - the one
that should have been the "Running" wire was swapped with the "start" wire
(not the starter, but the one that bypasses the ballast resistor and
bypasses all the other junk when you turn the key). Evidently I got it wrong
when re-installing a real Datsun switch instead of the $5 one from AutoZone.

also responsible for poor starting........
