Concerning removing the speaker box, it was written:

As was earlier posted, you're attacking this from the wrong side.
Pop the hood, remove the coil from the firewall and you'll find two
smallish studs with nuts on them. Undo the nuts and the box, bracket
included, will fall off the firewall (oh yeah - have a helper hold the box.
Did I mention it will fall otherwise?)
