Lou,
Stay as far away from the Triumph Stag V8 as you can! It was possible the
worst V8 ever designed. Triumph was offered to share the Rover V8 but their
engineers thought they could do better. How wrong they were! Early Stags
overheated on cool days and the timing chains were only good for 19,000
miles. Most Stags in England have been swapped out to either the Rover V8
or the Ford V6 (not like any US Ford V6!). Most Stags in the US are garage
queens. BTDT.
