The later R- and (I believe all) U- engines use crankcase ventilation,
but no PCV valve.

The stock air cleaner plate has internal tubes in the short venturi stacks
that create a slight suction as the air rushes into the engine. A hose
connects from the base plate to the fitting on the top of the valve
cover and creates a slight negative pressure in the crankcase.

The hose is NLA but a workaround is to use copper elbows and a
straight piece of high quality (emissions-rated) hose.
