I recently found that my recently purchased 68 2000 had a head that was
milled over .080" causing a chain slap. Upon investigating the two spare
heads
that came with the car I found a "B" cam. I decided do a valve job and swap
heads. Well, with further investigation I found low compression and three sets
of SU carbs with leaky throttle shafts. Needless to say I pulled the engine
tonight for an overhaul. I also struck a deal on a set of old style solex
carbs. Boy does this ever snowball! Now I am looking for a comp. oil pan.
Does
anyone out there have one for sale? I would be interested in condition and
price. Please contact me off of the list with info.
