Folks,
Does anyone know what the stock designation is for the original SU needles
that came with '69 1600's? I'm running a bit rich at the bottom end and I'd
like to switch the needles to something leaner since there is no adjustment
left at the moment - the carbs are as lean as it gets and the engine is still
a bit 'lumpy" at the bottom end. I have access to a couple of needle
comparison programs off the net (winsu etc.) but I'm not sure what the "base"
is. I also have a set of M39's from my project car that I can swap in if they
are leaner at lower RPM range than stock. By the way, there is no visible
designation on the needles that I have in the car now.
Any ideas, comments etc. appreciated as usual.

Cheers...Michael

P.S. Now that the carbs have been balanced and leaned out, she sings sweetly
from about 2000 RPM all the way to 5k. What a rush!!! :):):)
