I have been trying hard to stay out of this discussion because it hits right
at why I talk my PC customers out of AOL, MSN, or Earthlink. These are
"managed" Internet Service Providers. Mostly expensive too. I got dumped
on MSN by my local telephone company. Within 10 minutes I had had it with
their arrogance, and whatever desk jocky that decided I could not enjoy the
ENTIRE internet using any software I might chose.

I don't mess with sex sites, and I use software to look at my e-mail on the
server so I can delete it BEFORE I download it to my computer. When my
internet provider hinders the way I use the Internet it is time to dump them
like a hot exhaust manifold and find someone else. Fortunately we have a
couple good dial up providers local to the Portland area to refer to, and I
use Comcast and run a cheap web hosting service (contracted by another
provider) for myself and others. I could not do any of that with a manged
ISP. None of my friends or customers are on either AOL or MSN. This
discussion only adds fuel to my argument.

Datsun content:

Last weekend a friend and I made a fast run to Reno and Sacremento to look
at airplane parts and a whole airplane. My daughter took the roadster while
I was gone and enjoyed it in spite of near 100 degree temperatures. I
discovered today the the left front turn signal light lense is gone. No
damage I can see, but apparently someone could not leave something alone if
it is not theirs. Time to raid the parts car again.

Laurie et al,

I can post to the list, but can't receive from it. Resubscribing
won't
help as AOL is blocking all mail from the domain. I am going to the "get
live
help" "technical help" and doing a live chat with clueless idiots. But,
they
are filing reports and suggested that I email postmaster@aol.com with the
problem. I just mailed the postmaster explaining the problem. Hopefully if
enough
AOL listers raise hell we can get their attention.
