2000lb. sounds about right. Aluminum run about 1300-1500. If you are towing a
roadster, that should bring the total around 4500. I would be cautious about
an RV, they aren't station wagons. Most, such as a Jeep Cherokee, are limited
at 2000lb. The Grand Cherokee gets up to 5000lb. I use an '89 Ford Country
Squire for a tow car. Tow rating is 6000lb. Chevies, Buicks of that age, about
5000.
