Since our temperatures here in NC are hovering around 96 degrees, I am toying
with the idea of purchasing an oil cooler. I have located a cooler and a
sandwich plate that has a built-in thermostat. However, when I read through
the Datsun Roadster Manuel, I read the following:

An auxiliary oil cooler setup is available that takes filtered oil out of the
engine and through a cooling radiator before it circulates through the system.
The oil cooler adds about 1 extra quart of oil to the system to fill the
cooler unit and hoses. Because of the drop in oil pressure associated with
the extra distance and the resistance of the oil cooler, the oil pump pressure
relief valve should be shimmed to boost the oil pressure.

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks in Advance

Ivin
