I install all the bolts prior to laying the carpet and then use a white
china marker to mark their positions. The markings easily come off with a
little rubbing if need be. Make sure that the bolts are inserted all the way
so the carpeting lays as flat as possible and start from the tranny tunnel
down using the holes and bolts to secure the carpeting against movement
I use a hole punch to make the holes and it works great. A hole punch tool
set is a great investment and cheap too. Nice clean cuts and no fear of
using an exacto knife to slice your carpets.
